WTI: External Power Controllers
Intended for use with Cassatt Active Response Standard Edition, Premium Edition and Data Center Edition V5.1.
This article describes how to configure the Western Telematics Inc. (WTI) external power controller for management by Cassatt Active Response.
Step 1: Configure the power controller
Follow these steps to configure a WTI IPS external power controller. The example shown is for the WTI IPS 800; other models may vary.
- If the power controller is not already set up with telnet access, use a serial connection to log into the power controller and continue with the next step; if telnet access is already configured, you can exit these instructions.
- Use the following table to configure network access for the power controller.
The following settings reflect using a static IP address with DHCP disabled. You can, however, configure the external power controller to DHCP if the device is in a network outside of Cassatt Active Response control. In this case, make sure that you note the IP address to use when adding the power controller to the Cassatt Active Response Controller.
