The Mobile Collage Cluster (MCC) - Have Collage, Will Travel
The Collage product development team has assembled a mobile collage cluster (MCC) to help expedite proof-of-concept customer engagements and live demonstrations of Collage functionality.
Cassatt maintains two MCCs, each configured slightly differently.
Dell MCC
- Single Collage control node - Dell 1850
- 10 application nodes - Dell 1750s with DRAC remote management
- 2 switches - Dell 5224
HP MCC
- Single Collage control node - HP DL385
- 4 application nodes - HP DL385 with iLO remote management
- 2 switches - Dell 5224
These each reside in a 20U rack that has been shock mounted into a shipping case. These configurations show redundant networking and Collage power control, and can be easily set up to demonstrate node replacement and dynamic service allocation/deallocation based on user defined policies.
So, if you would like to see Collage in action, let your friendly neighborhood Cassatt sales/service rep know you'd like to take the MCC for a test drive.
