While you were sleeping, the Info Central elves updated the site with new docs. These docs and the underlying product support in Cassatt Active Response extend the reach of Cassatt Active Power Management to a new class of systems. Specifically, we've added info on how to set up Sun SPARC and x86 servers that use ALOM and ILOM power control (see Application Node Setup: Sun). Also, we now have support for Dell blades such that Cassatt Active Response can manage application nodes within a Dell blade enclosure (as in a Dell 1855 PowerEdge Blade Server). Besides the added support for Suns that use ALOM and ILOM and for the Dell 1855 Blade Server, there is also a handful of routine bug fixes in this release, so its version number is now revved to Cassatt Active Response 5.1.

With these added features, there's no better time than now to give the gift of Active Power Management to that special someone in your data center.
